Flake Avoids Reporters After Casting Pro-Kavanaugh Vote

After casting his vote Friday to advance the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) was descending a staircase in the Capitol when he saw reporters gathered at the bottom poised to bombard him with questions.

Flake, who had been one of the three GOP undecided senators heading into the vote,  was on the phone, smiled, and quickly turned around and went back up the stairs.
