Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said he “didn’t particularly like” President Donald Trump’s mockery of professor Christine Blasey Ford Tuesday night, saying he’d like to tell the President to “knock it off” since “you’re not helping.”
However, the President’s staunch ally softened his message by adding that Blasey Ford has been “handled respectfully” while “Kavanaugh was treated like crap.”
He also said that Blasey Ford has been treated much better than women in her position in years past.
When the crowd expressed its disapproval, Graham quipped: “yeah, well boo yourself.”
Graham has been one of Kavanaugh’s most ardent supporters, delivering a heated speech during the judge’s testimony about how the judge has been through “hell” in the confirmation process.
He also threatened future Democratic nominees. “Let me tell my Democratic friends, if this is the new norm, you better watch out for your nominees,” he told assembled reporters during the hearings.
“I don’t like what the president said last night,” Sen. Lindsey Graham says about Pres. Trump’s mockery of Dr. Ford at a rally.
