Harris: ‘Inappropriate Is Not Descriptive Enough’ For Trump Mocking Blasey Ford

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) had scathing words for President Donald Trump on Thursday for invoking the mockery of Christine Blasey Ford during a campaign rally earlier this week.

During an interview at The Atlantic Festival, Harris compared Blasey Ford’s testimony — where she recalled theĀ “laughter, the uproarious laughter, between the two, and their having fun at my expense” — with Trump inciting laughter at the expense of the woman who has accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault. She called “inappropriate” not “descriptive enough” for his behavior.

“Now we have, last night, the President of the United States at a rally urging a crowd to laugh at her,” Harris said. “I can’t think of anything more — inappropriate is not descriptive enough. It’s mean. It’s mean. And it is completely without any level of empathy about what her experience was.”
